Shift - Monday to Friday; 1st shift, OT as needed

What this job involves - The Senior Maintenance Mechanic will have a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all assigned systems. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC) and be multi-skilled in others to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

What is the day to day

  • Ensure that work performed in client space is accomplished with a minimum of disruption and is followed by adequate clean-up
  • Perform maintenance, monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned
  • Ensure the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies and identify sources for stock materials related to maintaining the facility.
  • Maintenance of the equipment will include cleaning, inspecting, calibrating and changing parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Partner with Sourcing and Sr. management to periodically evaluate vendors and suppliers regarding quality and competitive pricing
  • Partner with site Facility Coordinator to prepare and submit purchase order requests
  • Verify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description
  • Assess and maintain adequate tool and instrument inventory
  • All other duties assigned

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of working in a commercial or industrial environment
  • CMMs systems experience in a commercial or industrial environment
  • Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problem/malfunction and take corrective action as required
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in a cGMP or highly regulated environment
  • Completion of a vocational/trade program
  • HVAC Certification or EPA Universal

Work Environment

  • The individual in this role must be available for Call-in work
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach and lay as required to access equipment components for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
