The Standard Maintenance & Express Lane Manager is responsible for the sales and marketing of all Maintenance Portfolio items included within the Standard Maintenance business. This is inclusive of the Mopar Bulk Oil Program, Filters, Chemicals, Wipers, and Batteries. This includes the creation, management, and implementation of programs supporting the sales of these items. Inclusive of both Mopar and Bpro parts, this portfolio represents over $760M in annual sales revenue. This is a highly visible and impactful role within the Mopar division.
The main program driving this performance is the Mopar Express Lane program and this position is responsible for the strategy and management of all aspects of Mopar Express Lane. This individual will be working together with the Field Team and dealerships to help grow and expand this business overall. This includes metrics such as Mopar Bulk Oil Penetration, Maintenance CSI, Customer Retention, Flexcare Oil Change Sales, and Maintenance Parts Penetration.
The role also plays a crucial role in terms of a conduit to Mopar Marketing as well as other vendor funded marketing opportunities. This includes management of a $7M budget and several budget line items shared with the vendor. This also includes the management of the Retail Service Drive Store vendors to control inventory, monitor sales, and grow the program.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage oil portfolio of parts and relationship with oil supplier, distributors, and all other relevant teams involved in the management of the Oil Major
- Manage chemical portfolio of parts together with distributor partners and the relationships with the suppliers, engineering, and purchasing
- Manage program rules and scope guidelines for Mopar Express Lane (MEL) and Growth & Sustainment as well as the partnership with the MEL training provider
- Increase sales revenue, volume, and penetration on top commodity items within the Retail Service Drive
- Manage Oil Funds Budget spend and tracking together with vendor. Creation of funded programs as well as the tracking of those budgeted items
- Cross-functional support to all teams operating within the Standard Maintenance arena of services (Marketing, Field Operations, Flexcare, etc.)
- Collect and analyze market information, trends, Field feedback, and various other sources of data and develop plans to improve or change as necessary
- Develop, change, create, and manage new programs or incentives relative to the portfolio
- Create dealer-focused sales programs and incentives that are relevant to the dealership’s overall profitability and growth
- Communication of trends, patterns, and changes effectively to both dealerships and internal counterparts
The ideal candidate will excel in creativity, outside of the box thinking, and having a growth mindset. This would include taking complex initiatives and processes that differ across the various dealerships Nationally and simplifying that into constructive processes and programs that apply to anyone who decides to be a partner. The expectation is that this individual will be able to present at an executive level but also can explain the impact of the business at a dealership level.
