Respiratory Therapist - Long-Term Care (LTC)
Join our team as a dedicated Respiratory Therapist in Long-Term Care (LTC), where you will provide respiratory care and support to residents with chronic lung and breathing conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess residents’ respiratory status and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.
- Administer respiratory therapies, such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy, as ordered by providers.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory interventions, making adjustments as needed.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment use.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and resident progress.
Work Environment:
- The role is based in long-term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, or rehabilitation centers.
- This position requires compassion, patience, and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a residential care setting.
