Locations: Chattahoochee County, GA & Lanett City Schools, AL

Position Overview:

Human Performance and Rehabilitation Centers (HPRC) is hiring a School-Based Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide in-person therapy services for students at two school locations: Chattahoochee County, Georgia and Lanett City Schools in Alabama. This is a school-year-based (10-month) position that requires on-site presence.The Occupational Therapist will be expected to provide services on-site at both school locations.

Service Locations and Schedule:

  • Chattahoochee County, GA – Approximately 12–18 hours per week, plus travel time and mileage reimbursement

  • Lanett City Schools, AL – Approximately 6–12 hours per month, plus travel time and mileage reimbursement

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, identify areas of concern, and collaborate with IEP teams to support student academic success.
  • Plan and implement effective treatment programs focused on sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities.
  • Provide consultation and education for teachers and staff to enhance fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, attention, and executive functioning skills in students.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with state regulations and district standards for accuracy and timeliness.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in good standing.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and organized with a passion for working with children in an educational environment.

How You’ll Succeed:

  • Evaluate and diagnose students' needs through observation and collaboration with school staff.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans with clear goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Use therapeutic exercises, hands-on techniques, and equipment to support students’ functional abilities in a school setting.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure student success.
