Get to Know Your Team:
- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities- This position is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sounds waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities; assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service.
- Performance of all Ultrasound examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services.
- Preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, and scheduling patients.
- Entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program.
- 2 years of experience in OB ultrasound
- 1 year MFM Ultrasound experience
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent.
- Nuchal translucency certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
- Knowledge of all ultrasound equipment, its function, and the operation of each control.
- Understanding of equipment and computer systems, as well as the procedures for equipment service.
- Knowledge of Cross-Sectional Anatomy and Physiology.
- Ability to recognize fetal malformations.
Pay Range Minimum: $35.68/Hr.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
