Part-Time After-School Staff We Call Our Educators: ($20-$22) per hour (based on education, experience)
Start Date: JULY 2025
Schedule: 6:15 am- 8:00 am and 2:10 pm-6:00 pm (must be able to work full schedule Monday through Friday)- ;
Location- located inside the Clyde Miller and Arkansas Elementary site locations in the Aurora area schools.
PLEASE READ Requirements:
· 18 years old and a High School Graduate or GED
· Must CURRENTLY reside in Aurora or surrounding areas
· State Licensing Requirement-Verifiable experience- 460 hrs w/ group supervising 4 or more children (not one-on-one care, nanny and babysitting do not qualify must be classroom type supervision) of school-aged children (must be in this age range -kindergarten-6th grade)in a licensed childcare location and was able to manage children without supervision; OR40 clocked hours training/coursework dept approved courses playground/safety
· Will be able to provide a letter from a licensed childcare type facility showing at least 460 hours of supervising school-age children (kinder-6th grade) and three professional references that will be verified if hired
You’ll drive the mission by:
- Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation
- Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way
- Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
- Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
- Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Ideal Candidates will have the following:
- Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
- High School Diploma/GED and 18 years of age or older
- Works well in a team environment
- At least six months of experience working with children under 13 years of age
- Ability to lift 40lbs
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements; CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
