SUMMARY
The Director of HR Systems & Analytics provides operations, implementation, enhancement, governance, and strategy associated with HR technology systems and tools. In addition, the Director leads the people analytics function with recurring and ad-hoc reports and user-friendly dashboards for people data monitoring and analysis. Further, the Director manages project activities that deliver technology and reporting that enable department initiatives, with a focus on best-practice systems management, continuous process improvement, and predictive analytics. Finally, the Director gains buy-in from executive leadership and by collaborating with IT, Finance, Clinical Services, and Operations to develop and execute on the long-term HR Information Systems roadmap and data sharing capabilities for the enterprise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
- Develop HR technology strategies and roadmaps, leading business units through technology-related change that leads to increased user engagement and adoption.
- Lead cross-functional teams and direct reports to select, deploy, and enhance various cloud-based software packages, including research, business case development, vendor selection, project management, requirements gathering, functional specification documentation, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
- Develop reporting and tools using a collaborative approach that promote data-driven decisions by HR Business Partners and organizational leadership.
- Build and maintain reporting libraries to aid knowledge sharing, focused on simple use and access to data and analytics.
- Manages team to deliver HR initiatives that align with strategic priorities of the HR function and the business.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to standardize and streamline HR processes, primarily through automation.
- Partner with IT to maintain HR systems compliance, governance, security, and infrastructure, including relationships with software and services vendors; review and negotiation of MSAs, SOWs, and pricing for services engagements and software license agreements; and management of ongoing service from vendor.
- Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team by providing exposure to the business and project opportunities that match their career objectives.
- Work closely with HR Operations, Talent Acquisition team, Total Rewards team, and Learning team to enable processes and programs with technology, automation, and compliance.
- Develop and manage reporting metrics for organizational near and long-term goals.
- Be an advisor to functional teams to upskill people analytics abilities throughout the organization.
- Recruit, train, develop, and manage HRIS staff.
- Actively promote GUEST customer service standards; develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Effectively communicate expectations; accept accountability and hold others accountable for performance.
Qualifications/Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:
- A Bachelor's degree in information systems, data science, human resources management, or business administration; or related field or equivalent certification.
- 7+ years experience in a software/technology-focused role, administration of technology systems related HR (e.g. Applicant Tracking, Human Capital Management, Talent Management).
- 3+ years project management experience.
- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft excel (can write advanced macros) and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data; experience with business intelligence tools.
- Ability to communicate using technical and critical thinking skills necessary to advise or influence outcomes, both at the strategic and tactical level.
- Experience researching information and analyzing data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
- Vision to link the business strategy with functional initiatives, identify dependencies/risks, and prioritize based on critical needs and available resources.
- Collaboration skills including the ability to integrate and act upon diverse perspectives, especially during periods of change.
- Experience leading and motivating a team, including developing team member performance, and coaching.
- Demonstrated customer focus orientation and leading by example to team.
- Proven success in working independently; self-directed with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs.
