Overview:

Responsible for the development of new business contacts, managing and maintaining existing customer relations, contacts and sales in the fields of Oil & Gas, Power, Solar, Wind Energy, Industrial Agriculture and Heavy Civil.

Location and Travel:

This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position supports our business across the United States. This position does require 50%+ travel throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop and lead sales opportunities through industry research, calls to clients, media, site visits and attending trade shows and conventions
  • Obtain a deep knowledge of and experience with owners, developers, architects and other decision makers in target markets
  • Build rapport with a network of contacts
  • Work closely with executives, estimating, and operations on business leads
  • Work with department leadership to establish company budget/sales goals
  • Pre-qualify MasTec Renewables for project opportunities
  • Observe applicable current events, business trends and activity of competitors in order to gain information to make good business decisions and improve our strategy
  • Coordinate proposals, correspondence letters and respond to RFP's as applicable
  • Discuss, report and update accurately the company's Pipeline, Backlog, Project Awards, Project Losses, and updates to outstanding proposals within Salesforce
  • Develop an understanding of the client's goals, needs and concerns and clearly communicate this to the estimating team to assure we submit responsive bids and increase our chances of receiving contract awards
  • Establish sales goals to ensure market share and profitability of products and/or services
  • Manage and execute Business Development plans and programs, both short- and long-range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of Company products and/or services
  • Seek out and use industry sources and consumer information
  • Track sales results so objectives are achieved within designated budgets
  • Travel to various client locations on a regular basis
Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Director:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Construction Management or a Business-related field
  • 10+ years of related experience with preference of 3+ years of Business Development or Operations experience
  • Previous Renewable Energy experience required

Sr. Director:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Construction Management or a Business-related field
  • 12-14+ years of related experience with preference of 5+ years of Business Development or Operations experience
  • 5+ years of Renewable Energy experience required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or phsycial risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
