Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Hospice
Location: San Diego, CA (On-site – Central and East San Diego coverage)
Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST
Compensation: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

What You’ll Do
As a Hospice LVN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients are met. Responsibilities include:
Delivering skilled nursing care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act
Implementing care plans and responding to changes in patient condition
Administering medications and treatments accurately and compassionately
Educating patients and families about diagnosis and care procedures
Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate hospice services
Preparing and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
Monitoring and managing pain and symptoms effectively
Following proper infection control and aseptic techniques
Participating in professional development and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program
Active LVN license in the State of California
Minimum of 3 years nursing experience (home health or medical/surgical preferred)
CPR certification (current)
Understanding of the hospice philosophy and sensitivity to end-of-life care
Effective communication and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license with a reliable, insured vehicle
