Position: Electrical Estimator – Infrastructure Projects Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator with experience in large-scale electrical infrastructure, including EV charging. This role requires a strong understanding of complex electrical systems, including AC and DC (High Power DC) EV charging, fleet electrification, and power distribution infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in AutoCAD design and proficiency with Bluebeam, Accubid, or comparable electrical estimating software.

As a key member of our eMobility Development Team, you will collaborate with sales, clients, engineering, external partners, and operations to develop accurate, competitive, and strategic proposals. Your ability to analyze drawings, coordinate with subcontractors, assess risks, and optimize project pricing will be instrumental in driving business growth.

Pay: – $70,560- $117,000

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Key Responsibilities: Estimating & Proposal Development:

Lead the estimation process for large electrical infrastructure projects, including EV charging stations, microgrids, substations, and distribution systems.

Conduct job walk-throughs, detailed drawing take-offs, and labor/material pricing analysis.

Develop comprehensive proposals aligned with client needs and company capabilities.

Analyze electrical project drawings and specifications for accurate cost forecasting.

Use CAD software and Bluebeam for detailed take-offs, design validation, and markups.

Generate precise estimates using Accubid or similar electrical estimating software.

Coordinate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.

Project Qualification & Risk Management:

Evaluate project scope, risks, and feasibility.

Assess logistics, constructability, and resource requirements for bid accuracy.

Align opportunities with company priorities and resource capacity.

Implement risk mitigation strategies to improve margins on complex projects.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:

Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, and executive leadership.

Present and justify estimates to clients and stakeholders.

Maintain a historical cost database for benchmarking and future estimates.

Share best practices and estimating innovations across internal teams.

Process Improvement & Technology Integration:

Leverage Bluebeam and CAD tools to improve take-off accuracy and documentation.

Use Salesforce and estimating platforms to manage bid pipelines and ensure data integrity.

Drive process efficiency and automation to reduce turnaround times.

Minimum Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in electrical estimating, particularly large-scale infrastructure projects.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability to interpret electrical, civil, and structural drawings.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit (or similar), and Bluebeam Revu.

Experience with power distribution and site electrical design.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based project management platforms.

Experience managing multi-million-dollar bids in competitive proposal environments.

Willingness to travel up to 30% for site walks, meetings, and client visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with Accubid or comparable software.

Familiarity with design-build, EPC projects, and utility-scale systems.

Knowledge of BESS, DERs, and microgrids.

Experience with public/private procurement (RFPs, government-funded projects).

Proficiency in Salesforce, SmartSheets, and collaborative platforms.

Certifications such as CPE, EEP, or PMP are a plus.
