Job Description

Waltz Health is looking for a thoughtful, detail-oriented, organized, passionate, and creative Associate Product Manager who can both understand the strategic vision of our company and apply that understanding to help improve the healthcare experience and outcomes of patients. This individual will assist with managing the definition of our product pipeline, specifically the Waltz Connect Product, with a focus on the Specialty and GLP-1 opportunities. Deep curiosity and a desire to learn along with industry and functional experience will be critical to success in this role. As a Waltz Associate Product Manager, you will partner with business stakeholders and clients to understand the voice of the customer and translate that information into product strategy, features, and requirements. The successful Associate Product Manager will play a key part in analyzing data to inform product decisions while also helping to lead technical product development efforts alongside the product manager and development team to ensure proper alignment with business goals and customer needs. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to combine a strong analytical and technical mindset with the ability to assist with prioritizing features and managing product roadmaps, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and delivering impactful solutions and product enhancements.

In this important role, you will collaborate with the entire team, include our Product Team, VP and SVP of Product, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief of Information Officer, and Chief Technology Officer.

This role reports to our Senior Product Manager. You will primarily focused on the following responsibilities:

  • Defining the Waltz Health product pipeline through new products, features, epics and user stories.
  • Communication priorities and requirements to the technology and software development teams and participating in the agile development process.
  • Configuring new features.
  • Developing and providing expertise on the pharmacy industry, the pain points, and the opportunities to create value.
  • Using industry expertise to drive product strategy and improve the lives of our patients and end users.
  • Define and manage products and product features for the Waltz portfolio.
  • Implement and integrate innovative new products into existing framework.
  • Define business requirements and manage detailed implementation with technology teams.
  • Create broad documentation in support of the Waltz product portfolio, capturing strategic business details as well as detailed technical materials.
  • Create, maintain, and socialize internal and external product roadmaps.
  • Incorporate feedback from internal and external customers on product strategy and use the voice of the patient to expand and drive market reach.

In the first 90 days you, will:

  • Take ownership of existing products and features; familiarize yourself with our products, begin to identify opportunities for improvement, explore existing product documentation and metrics.
  • Hear and understand the voice of the customer. Gain a deep understanding of Waltz clients and users, identify both internal and external customers, develop relationship and document needs and identify opportunities.
  • Develop an understanding of existing product processes and artifacts; identify opportunities to develop process improvements.
  • Immerse yourself in the landscape. Identify the problem and solution spaces to explore with product strategy.
  • Understand product quality and baseline metrics. Identify opportunity to drive the quality of our upcoming software releases.

  • PBM Pharmacy Benefit Management Experience; understanding clients, benefit plans, formulary management, prior authorization, claim request and response.
  • Strategic prioritization, roadmap creation, maintenance, and communication.
  • Product Development Management; proficient with agile methodology (ceremonies, epics/user stories, etc.)
  • Product management software experience (Jira, Aha!, etc.)
  • PBM/Adjudication System
  • Market Research
  • Data Analysis
  • Microsoft Office (All, with deep proficiency in PowerPoint)
  • Mobile and web app development (Front-end and back-end, API, UI/UX) familiarity.

We'd love for you to have these qualifications:

  • Bachelors
  • Masters (bonus)
  • 5+ years PBM/Pharmacy/Specialty or Home Delivery (Mail Order) pharmacy experience
  • 3-4 years of Product management experience
  • Healthcare/Technology experience (Bonus)
  • 1+ years Implementation experience a plus

Pay Range

$50k - $99k Annual salary
