You will play a key role in delivering top-notch care to pets and peace of mind to their people.

About you:

We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a team sport, and our preferred candidate is someone who feels the same. The ideal candidate is confident in their technical skills and abilities including but not limited to all aspects of nursing care, venipuncture, IV catheterization, drug calculations and protocols, managing drains and tubes, etc.

This person should also be confident in interpersonal communication, a positive team player, and a positive example for all staff members. Schedule:

To be determined by the Hospital manager. The schedule may vary week to week depending on the needs of the hospital.

Weekend availability is required.

Compensation:

Based on experience starting at $21.00-29.00/ hour.

Requirements
  • 1-3 years Veterinary Technician experience.
  • Associates in Veterinary Technology is a plus.
  • Phlebotomy
  • IV Catheterization (peripheral)
  • Experience providing nursing care and husbandry for admitted patients.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory tests.
  • Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services. This includes client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply
