Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, building, refactoring and releasing native apps.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams is desirable

  • Able to own a feature of an Android application and develop it fully.

  • Proven experience with Kotlin/Java.

  • Experience with TDD, pairing, code reviews, and other techniques to maintain high-quality code and resiliency.

  • Preferred experience with Android Architecture Components, MVVM, and Dagger

  • Working knowledge of modern Android APIs, concurrency/threading, layouts, transitions, animations, client side persistence, and architectural patterns for mobile apps

Job Functions

You will be a member of our native mobile architecture team, building the next generation of our native application architecture.

  • Support Core Product developers with debugging Android and new OS feature issues

  • Work closely with every Core Product domain on feature and architecture implementation

  • We follow agile practices and focus on continual improvement in our practices, driven from the ground up. We expect you to advocate for improvements in code and culture, and to support your colleagues in the same.

  • Work well with team members and other teams, dividing up workload appropriately.

  • Partner and collaborate with other organizations throughout eBay.

As part of the team, you'll also share your knowledge with the wider team as well as learning about and contributing to our core app experience.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$115,200 - $199,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
