Overview:
Presbyterian is seeking a Med Surg. The Registered Nurse safely and independently administers prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions based on assessment and plan of care. Appropriately organizes and prioritizes time based on patient condition and expected workload. Identifies changes in patients' status and acts accordingly. Come and join our RNteam.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care: assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document needs
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams for coordinated care
Conduct assessments and document findings
Follow protocols and standards of care
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs
Evaluate patient progress and document accordingly
Respond effectively in emergency situations
Delegate tasks based on competency levels
Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
Lead communication and validation of patient care
Assist with procedures and treatments as needed
Complete training and competency requirements
Demonstrate required psychomotor skills
Mentor new staff and students
Maintain professional responsibility and clinical standards
Incorporate organization’s mission into caregiving activities
Support governance and care delivery models
Assume leadership roles when required
Meet professional requirements such as training, dress code, documentation, communication, and attendance
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Adhere to safety and equipment policies
Perform other necessary functions as required
Qualifications:
- ADN/BSN/MSN
- NM State or Multistate License
- BLSRequires at Time of Hire
