The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for driving census development and achieving annual sales goals and objectives through sales and marketing efforts for Avante's Skilled Nursing Facilities. This position reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer. The position requires a great deal of energy, a strong work ethic and frequent overnight travel to specific facility locations. The position will be based in Florida.

Qualifications:

• Must possess the education and experience requirements outlined below.

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

• Must possess a thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, policies, education, community relations, demonstration, organization structure, social and activity services, government relations, etc., as they relate to skilled nursing facility operations.

• Must possess the ability to plan, organize and effectively present ideas and concepts to community groups, agencies, and related industry groups in the long-term-care industry.

• Must speak and write in English and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Must possess the ability to assimilate information from a variety of sources, analyze information and make recommendations to the Chief Strategy Officer, Facility Administrators and other designed Avante officials.

• Must possess the ability to provide assistance in establishing, implementing and maintaining effective marketing and public relations programs for Avante, overall, and for individual facilities.

• Experience in the long-term-care industry required.

• Previous supervisory/management experience required.

• Possession of a valid Driver's License, dependable vehicle and proof of current vehicle insurance required.

• Ability to work flexible hours each week, including weekends and holidays as needed.

• Software knowledge - MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-related programs, such as Point Click Care (PCC) or similar programs.

Education and Experience:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree from accredited college**

• At least five (5) years' experience in the long-term care environment, which includes SNF, ALF, HHA; and/or Hospital case management experience (with specific compliance program experience). **

• Prefer to have demonstrated management experience for a period of 5 years.

• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards.
