HOSPICE AIDE- SINAI HOSPITAL

JOB SUMMARY

Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the Mission Statement and S.P.I.R.I.T. Values of Carroll Hospice and Carroll Hospital Center. Works as a para-professional trained to provide personal care and other health care needs of the patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

REQUIREMENTS

• Preferred High School Diploma 50243

• Less than 2 years Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant course required. Previous experience as a CNA/Home Health Aide, preferably in a Medicare Certified Program, preferred. Required

• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

• CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider

• CHPNA - Certified Hospice Palliative Nurse Assistant

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Must communicate (both orally and written) effectively to patients and families. Ability to provide safe and thorough care. Ability to work independently. Ability to effectively exercise tact, initiative and good judgment in dealing with patients and families.
