An Acidulants Health & Safety Technician/Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the safety and well-being of employees. This includes the development H&S programs, and day-to-day support health & safety initiatives for all production areas.

Key responsibilities: Health & Safety Technician/Coordinator

  • Safety Culture: Assisting in employee and contractor training programs, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Industrial Hygiene: Assisting in industrial hygiene monitoring and maintaining reporting programs.
  • Emergency Response: Supporting the facility in any emergency situations and reporting any potential issues to EHSS Manager.
  • Reporting: Meeting all reporting requirements assigned by the EHSS Manager to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Regulatory Communication: Assisting the EHSS Manager with regulatory agencies during audits and permit updates.
  • Developing Policies and Procedures: Creating safety policies and procedures.
  • Inspection and Risk Assessment: Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Training and Communication: Providing training and communicating safety protocols to employees, including but not limited to new hire onboarding and monthly health & safety training.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Keeping track of safety metrics and preparing reports for EHSS Manager, and providing detailed explanation of the reports, as needed.
  • Legal Compliance: Staying updated with relevant laws and regulations and ensuring compliance.
  • Employee Well-being: Fostering a culture of safety and well-being among employees.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeking ways to improve safety and environmental practices.

About You

  • Education: Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
  • Experience: Between 0-3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting, acidulants production experience a plus
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA, and other relevant regulations; excellent communication skills; ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety programs
  • Leadership: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to lead, motivate, and build consensus, strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, demonstrated initiative, accountability, and a results-oriented mindset

Total Rewards

The annual pay range estimated for this position is $67,977.60 - $84,972.00 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities.During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
