The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Lead Standardization of Annual Costing Process: Design, implement, and continuously improve a standardized annual product costing process to drive transparency, consistency, and accuracy in cost planning. Leverage peer benchmarking and industry best practices to ensure competitiveness and continuous improvement. Support the development and enforcement of global costing policies and governance frameworks to drive consistency.
ERP Implementation and Finance Systems Improvement: Act as a key finance lead in ERP implementation efforts, ensuring costing requirements are accurately captured and finance systems are improved across the enterprise for greater efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
Support SKU Rationalization Initiatives: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Product, Commercial) to evaluate profitability and financial impact of SKU rationalization strategies and provide analytical insights to guide decision-making.
Cost Accounting Support for New Acquisitions and Product Development: Support the finance integration of new acquisitions and collaborate with R&D and Product teams on costing processes during product development. Establish frameworks that align with global standards, enabling informed decision-making and accurate cost modeling throughout the lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Partnership and Business Enablement: Equip business and functional leaders with clear visibility into cost structures to support smarter decision-making. Break down cost components (e.g., materials, labor, overhead, freight) and explain key drivers and trade-offs. Provide insights on the financial impact of currency fluctuations and cost changes to guide actions on pricing, sourcing, and cost optimization.
Process Improvement and Best Practices: Drive continuous improvement in GSC finance processes and operating mechanisms, identifying opportunities and implementing best practices.
Your Skills and Expertise
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing finance environment, with strong preference for experience in the medical device industry and international companies.
Knowledge of standard costing methodologies, cost component analysis, and financial modeling to support manufacturing, product development, and portfolio decisions.
Experience leading or supporting ERP implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle), focusing on finance process design, data structure, and system integration.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Ability to explain cost drivers and financial impacts clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, enabling smarter business decisions.
Proven track record of identifying inefficiencies, implementing standardized processes, and developing governance frameworks and global finance policies.
Experience navigating change in complex, matrixed organizations, particularly during M&A integration, ERP rollouts, and process transformations.
Proven ability to work effectively across different cultures and time zones in a global organization. Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adaptable to shifting priorities and demands.
Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements. Eager to learn, grow, and drive innovative solutions in a constantly evolving business landscape.
