Poughkeepsie Nissanis HIRING NOW for an experienced and talented Senior Service Advisor who can help provide assistance and leadership to the entire team, as well as someone who’s aspiring to grow into a large role in the Service organization.
Poughkeepsie Nissan has one of the largest Fixed Operations department in the region, with both a robust client base and a thriving Used Car operation. In addition to being a productive Service Advisor helping our clients, you will play a prominent role in helping to ensure Shop operations are efficient and profitable, that work is being dispatched appropriately and ultimately that the work is being performed properly.

Responsibilities - Assistant Service Manager:
- Help clients with their Service needs, writing up their vehicles, keeping clients informed and managing that relationship, providing all aspects of a traditional Service Advisor role.
- Ensure that work is being dispatched properly, and to the benefit of our client’s experience, while ensuring that our team of Techs are all benefiting and growing from the opportunities available.
- Oversee that work is completed properlythe first time (Fix It Right the First Time).
- Ensure that customer cars are fully evaluated by our Techs and that our Advisors are performing to the peak of their capabilities.
- Consult with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
- Sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
- Provide customers with information and advice on warranty protections, potential cost savings and the advantages of trading in versus fixing their car.
- Follow the status of the customer's vehicle from service bay entry through completion of work.
- Act as a liaison between customers and our Technicians.
- Upon completion of work, review work order with customer to assure all concerns are addressed.
- Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications - Assistant Service Manager:
- MUST be willing to provide references and to setup calls with such references and Hiring Manager
- MUST show track record as a Top Performing Service Advisor and/or Assistant Service Manager in a franchised dealership
- CDK experience is a plus!
- A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry
- Greatcustomer service and communication skills
- MUSTbe a great team player, the success of the team is paramount!
- Strong organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude
- Good work ethic and computer skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
