Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from last 4 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits
Guaranteed Hours 36
Weekend Requirement: Weekend night positions: Friday, Saturday, and Sundays OR Saturday, Sundays, and Mondays. Nights (weekdays): every other weekend or 3 weekend shifts per schedule (weekend shifts = Saturday and Sundays)
Holiday Requirement Yes - travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation

Floating Requirement Possibly to 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10E first priority. Then offered to the rest of the hospital if needed.

Ratios: for Floor patients
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Neurosciences, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulators), Stroke, Seizures, Surgical/PostOp Spines, Neurological Disorders
NOTE: This unit does not have to be stepdown RN’s
Experience or ‘Must have’ skills Need to have overall strong Neuro experience
Are RNs required to titrate drips Titration is only done by physician’s orders in a step-down setting. There may be some protocols that allow for titration, but they would educate on that.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, Insulin
Scrub Color/Dress code Any combination of white and royal blue
