Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

• 12 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

3 separate interview times must be provided with each submission.

Cath Lab experience preferred.

IV conscious sedation preferred.

The Cardiology RN must have the cognitive skills needed to competently perform/supervise Exercise Tests.

Knowledge of appropriate indications for exercise testing and alternative pharmacological cardiovascular tests.

Knowledge of contraindications, risks and risk assessment of testing.

Knowledge to recognize and properly treat complications of exercise testing.

Knowledge of basic cardiovascular and exercise physiology, including hemodynamic response to exercise.

The ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and treat if serious or life-threatening.

Knowledge of cardiac drugs and how they can affect exercise performance, hemodynamics and ECG.

Knowledge of the effects of age and disease on hemodynamics and ECG responses to exercise testing.

Must have knowledge regarding proper lead placement and skin preparation.

Knowledge of end points of exercise testing and indications to terminate exercise testing.

Knowledge of ECG and ECG changes resulting from exercise, hyperventilation, ischemia, hypertrophy, conduction disorders, electrolyte disturbances, and drugs.

Knowledge of conditions and circumstances that can cause false-positive, indeterminate, or false-negative test results.

Knowledge of the concept of Metabolic Equivalent and the estimation of exercise intensity in different modes of exercise.

Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

The required skills to validate competency in performing Exercise Stress Test/Nuclear Imaging Stress Test are as follows:

• 50 proctored Exercise Stress Test/Nuclear Imaging Stress Tess by the Cardiologists.

• Must have completed a 12 lead ECG course.

• Must have 10 hours of physician lead Didactic time.

• Completed Competency.

Maximum days off: 7 days

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 2 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required after submission

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
