RN Radiation Oncology Outpatient Radiation Oncology

The RN Radiation Oncology Outpatient will:
- Assist the physician and physicist according to established procedure in the administration, insertion and removal of therapeutic radioactive materials, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Assist in planning and evaluating nursing care of patients receiving radiation therapy, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Provide direct nursing care to patient receiving radiation therapy, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Assist the Clinical Coordinator in ensuring quality patient care, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Be responsible for accuracy of equipment maintenance logs.
- Coordinate weekly Quality Improvement Chart review.
- Be responsible for projecting a professional image and behavior when interacting with patients and Hospital personnel.
Requirements: - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in specialty preferred
- BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
Grade 125
