Job Summary and Qualifications
JOB SUMMARY
Will utilize the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to patients in order to achieve quality outcomes and communicates need for guidance/supervision based on self-assessment of strengths and limitations.
Promotes a positive image of nursing and promotes collegiality among healthcare team members.
Market Float Pool RNs are scheduled in accordance with the Staffing and Scheduling- Nursing, RN Floating - Healthy Workplace Environment (HWE) and Attendance policies. Requirements of RN unit based, facility based, or system based pools are based on which pool they are in.
Resource and Non-RN Resource Pool RN’s are required to work the following:
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION
Experience required (Minimum amount of specifically related experience which is required to perform the role at this level.Note in Other additional specific exp.)

Less than 1 year
1 – 3 years:Other required experience: Minimum of at least three years of RN experience with a minimum of two year specialty experience for those floating to specialty areas.
3 - 7 years

Required:
Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas or Compact Nursing License. If your compact license is from a state besides Texas, you will be required to obtain a TX Nursing License within 90 days after your start date. Obtaining a permanent Texas license is not required for nurses hired on the seasonal plan
Required Upon Hire (for certifications only: upon hire is defined as within 2 business days of start date)
BLS from American Heart Association
Required Upon Hire (for certifications only: upon hire is defined as within 2 business days of start date
ACLS from the American Heart Association
Required Upon Hire (for certifications only: upon hire is defined as within 2 business days of start date)
NIH Stroke Certification
Required within 60 days of hire date and annually.
PREFERRED EDUCATION
1. CCRN preferred.
2. PALS preferred.
3. TNCC preferred
