The Assistant Marketing Manager will manage Palette Assessments, Color and Design Marketing Materials, Virtual Panel Studio, and Trend Presentations, design and production of marketing materials needed to support our teams by segment; residential, hospitality and contract furnishings, kitchen and bath cabinetry, wood and composite building materials, flooring and specialty. Assistant Marketing Manager will attend tradeshows, interact with customers and lead color & design presentations.
This is an in-office role.

Trend Presentations:
- Create and present trend forecasting projects and presentations, create and present
tradeshow reporting, and present DesignHouse capabilities both internally and with
customers. - Conduct and present research on future CMF and design trends within all segments,
including tradeshow attendance and photography. - Present Color and Design projects to customers, sales teams and internal stakeholders.
- Interact with customers during meetings to clearly and professionally communicate our
Color and Design value proposition
- Use social, cultural, and consumer research to objectively validate trends, determine
viability and predict industry impact - Prepare and maintain mood boards and digital presentations reflecting industry trends for
customer meetings
Palette Assessments:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of customer palettes using color theory, trend research,
consumer behavior and sales data to validate and make recommendations. - Create presentations to communicate findings with customers and internal stakeholders
both in person and digitally. - Create custom color palettes and recommendations for customers based on in-depth
research, analysis and data customized per customer - Coordinate meetings and presentations with both internal and external stakeholders,
including event planning and preparations.
Marketing Materials:
- Assist the Sr Marketing Manager in the creation of various Color and Design marketing
materials, including Colormix and Color of the Year. - Partner with various stakeholders to execute Color and Design marketing projects.
- Develop PPT presentations for both internal and external audiences, executives, sales
teams and customers both internally and externally. - Support the Marketing Communications team in projects related to Color and Design.
- Prepare press-ready files for printed marketing collateral (sell sheets/product slicks and
brochures) working from existing templates where feasible. - Partner to create fresh graphic solutions for the marketing arm of the DesignHouse and
servicing multiple touch points of the Industrial Wood segments.
VPS:
- Photograph panels and edit imagery to be color accurate.
- Write detailed and accurate descriptions.
- Regularly update platform with imagery, metadata and collateral
- Manage VPS administration and platform.
- File formatting for loading to site.
- Oversee development if continuous improvements.
- Ensure all assets used in marketing materials such as purchased, and internally produced
images are properly used and uploaded with required information into the WIDEN asset
management system.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Tradeshow attendance, support, reporting and press, internally and externally
- Customer meetings and presentations with C-Suite, internal and external
- Coordinate and participate in marketing material proof reviews with broader marketing,
sales and product teams. - Manage, update, archive and maintain graphic files and assets, supplying internal and
external stakeholders with requested assets. - Manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Act as on-site photographer; Technical or production duties may include scaling, cropping,
retouching, repositioning, pre-flighting or eliminating defective and excessive imagery. - Organize and maintain showroom displays and meeting spaces, prepare and coordinate
materials for meetings and events - Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, color design, or other related field.
- Required Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, design or other related field.
- This position may be required to travel nationally up to 30%
- Experience with Color, Materials and Finish or Color Marketing
- Experience with Interior Design, Trend Research and Tradeshows
- Experience with Photo and Video shoots
- Experience giving Digital and Physical Presentations to executive level audiences
Preferred:
- Experience in coatings, furniture, cabinetry or building product industries
- Experience Delivering Written and Verbal Branded Messaging and Communication
- Experience with Digital Asset Management Systems (WIDEN, Adobe AEM)
