Job Description:

GCCS Engineer

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Field and maintain current operational GCCS-J system of record and establish and maintain support to the GCCS-J lab/test facility for future version testing. (GCCS PMO office)

  • Ensure supporting system administration shall have hands-on experience and certifications in developing, deploying, and maintaining GCCS-J, Agile Client, Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.

  • Have and maintain OEM certifications for all operated and maintained systems upon assumption of responsibilities for existing systems or prior to transition to operations of any new or modified system.

  • Have hands-on experience utilizing system administration tools to include, but not limited to, ACAS, HBSS, ArSat, VMware, and DameWare.

  • Acquire and maintain the following certifications: Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MSITP), Security +, and Network+, with appropriate levels of experience commensurate with the systems supported.

Key Tasks:

  • Configure and update GCCS-J servers and workstations with Government-furnished GCCS-J FoP applications and operating systems in accordance with OEM and Government-provided guidelines.
  • Provide system administration and O&M support to deployed operational GCCS-J system of record.
  • Configure and update servers with Government-furnished GCCS-J FoP applications and operating systems in accordance with OEM, security, and Government-provided guidelines.
  • Provide on-call support of the Command C2 Systems of Record, currently GCCS-J FoP.
  • Maintain pace with new versions and new capabilities including Enterprise capabilities.
  • Work with other data sources and engineer integration of data as required and specified.
  • Provide system administrator and O&M support to deployed operational GCCS-J system of record.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support of the Command C2 Systems of Record, currently GCCS-J FoP.

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
