Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from any number of months.

• 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.• Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.

Roles requiring state licensure only: License should not expire within 45 days following start date

Travel Pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs.

Guaranteed Hour: 48

Patient Types: Any medical diagnosis except primary Cardiac could be seen on this unit.

Unit will monitor patients on Telemetry (Med-Tele).

Common diagnoses include but are not limited to: Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues and illnesses – Flu/PNA/COVID, GI Bleed, Renal Failure (AKI/CKD), Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fractures.

Non-surgical unit.

EKG interpretation preferred.

Previous charge experience highly preferred, please include if the traveler has charge experience in offer details and is willing to act as charge.

Cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), Insulin drips, Heparin drips - training available from charge and educator – does not require manager approval to offer but will be noted in the offer email for CRT if traveler has not done.

Reading/Interpreting Rhythm strips – please decline if they are not comfortable with this.

Trach care, Chest tube management, General Medical Surgical skills (wound care, IVABX, Drain/tube management, IV starts, central line management, etc.).

Floating: Will float as often as needed to any area with Med/Tele patients (within or below scope).

Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every other.

Call required: none

Holiday Expectations: no Holiday RTO is accepted at this time.

RTO: Manager approval.

RN: Any color, must be professional.

2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

Driver’s license required for submission
