Clean Harbors is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join their safety conscious team in Edmonton, AB! You will be required to complete daily rounds, perform troubleshooting and basic repairs of a variety of appliances/ equipment, inventory, materials ordering, preventative maintenance, subcontractor coordination, and basic repairs to the building and building systems at our Edmonton campus location. Please be mindful that this is a labor-intensive position.

- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Performs preventative maintenance to buildings and appliances in a safe and efficient manner;
- Regular Inspections (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually) of the mechanical systems, electrical systems and critical infrastructure to ensure all systems are running at efficient standards
- Focus on energy efficiency, indoor air quality, building cleanliness and aesthetics
- Monitors and ensures that the systems that support the building are operational;
- Possess the ability to research and find information to troubleshoot and maintain malfunctioning systems at the facility. Take proper measures to correct the issue(s);
- Maintains sufficient inventory levels for continuous operation
- Class 5 Driver’s License required;
- Ability to work on call when needed/ required;
- Understands the functioning of all building systems in the region such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire/life safety, building security, and janitorial
- 1+ years’ experience with facility building maintenance and operations is an asset;
- Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, machinery, etc.;
- Possess good communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact with clients;
- Good computer skills.
