Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for maintaining a complete and accurate financial control framework for North America and undertaking second line assurance testing to ensure the effective operation of controls.
- To play a key role in the planned finance system migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for the Canadian business, ensuring appropriate systemized finance controls are embedded.
- Maintain and enhance the current risk and control frameworks to manage and align risk management processes with the rest of the Group.This includes monitoring and oversight of the implementation of the Group’s control frameworks across North America.
- To work with the Group’s outsourced Internal Audit provider to support in the co-ordination and execution of their reviews and ensuring resulting audit findings are remediated in a timely manner.
- Identify areas of control weakness which require enhanced or additional controls and work with key stakeholders to implement these.
- Take responsibility forlocalised training on risk management and control with key stakeholders, risk and control owners.
About you
You'll possess the following skills, abilities, and
experience:
- You’ll demonstrate your extensive, relevant experience within as an accountant and withinfinancial control, corporate governance, and audit methodology.
- Drawing upon your experience you’ll demonstrate yourExperience working in assessment of policies and standards, risk scoring, assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of mitigating controls and recommending improvements to control design.
- You’ll have the ability to develop effective relationships and build an internal network with people at all levels.
- Leadership will be key! You’ll demonstrate your well-developed leadership and influencing skills to navigate innovation through multiple complex, uncertain and uncharted issues as well as improving best practices.
