We are a Critical Access Hospital in a rural setting. This position is an integral part of our surgical team. We care for patients undergoing a variety of procedures including GI, General surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, and Ophthalmology. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right applicant. Certification as a surgical technician is required at hire or expected to be completed within 1 year of employment.
Scheduled work hours will vary dependent on patient needs.
Job Summary
Surgical technologists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients.
We are a Critical Access Hospital in a rural setting. This position is an integral part of our surgical team. We care for patients undergoing a variety of procedures including GI, General surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, and Ophthalmology. Experience is preferred, but not required!
Scheduled work hours will vary depending on patient needs. What you will do:
Provide assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures, including preparing and organizing operating room instruments and supplies.
Anticipate the surgeons needs during a procedure.
Manage and maintain sterile instrumentation.
Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, nurses, as well as other health care personnel.
Managing and re-processing endoscopes

Qualifications
A graduate of an associates program in Surgical Technology
Certification as a surgical technician is required at hire or expected to be completed within 1 year of employment.
