As the Senior Director Contracts, you are responsible for negotiating industry leading national agreements for the GPO in the treasury and revenue cycle categories. You are an expert negotiator with established customer trust & thorough understanding of contract terms and conditions. You proactively identify risks, devise appropriate solutions in high pressure situations, identify cost savings opportunities, and new areas for contracting.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • Independently plan and execute project timelines for assigned categories.
  • Translate objectives into actionable project plans and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Deliver high volumes of contracts without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in key contracting disciplines (e.g., nursing, surgery, capital, non-medical, PPI).
  • Maintain deep knowledge of product features, supplier comparisons, operational impact, and future product pipelines.
  • Interpret FDA 510(k) filings and raw material indices to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Understand cost drivers and end-user sensitivities across the portfolio.
  • Leverage supplier insights to develop sourcing strategies, mitigate risks, and anticipate market shifts.
  • Lead complex negotiations using corporate templates and supplier financial data (SEC filings, analyst reports).
  • Evaluate new market entrants and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and articulate clear sourcing strategies aligned with customer and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with IDNs, clinicians, and executives to validate strategies.
  • Adapt strategies in real-time to manage risk and respond to changing market conditions.
  • Own the end-to-end sourcing process: market research, RFI/RFP, strategy validation, negotiations, and contract launch.
  • Present category strategies to customer-led Advisory Boards, Supply Chain Boards, and other governance bodies.
  • Deliver compelling, well-prepared presentations that drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers across business units.
  • Negotiate master/corporate agreements and ensure supplier alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with customer stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and compliance.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, supplier summits, and customer forums.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Accredited College Bachelor's Degree required (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance)
  • 7+ years strategic sourcing and contract negotiations in the revenue cycle and treasury categories.
