Position Summary:
To assist in achieving the company’s Vision and financial objectives through the optimization of financial processes. Provide high-level support to the Controller as they manage the company’s accounting and financial activities. Guide, develop and support the accounting and finance team to be goal-oriented individual contributors on a team committed to providing exceptional customer service.
- Direct the operations of the real estate/ancillary accounting department, including assisting in the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
- Maintain and update accounting policy and procedures in collaboration with the Controller to ensure accounting practices follow established accounting principles and applicable regulatory requirements in following GAAP.
- Manage Company leases in lease software and adhere to latest accounting standards.
- Maintain capital projects and improvements and track all invoices, reserve replacements and OAR/ORR process.
- Provide all data to external tax preparer to ensure timely filing of all federal and state income tax/franchise tax returns with review and roll forward of final returns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting requiredCPA a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership accounting role required.
- Flexible, strategic team player with infallible integrity and ethical standards
- ASC 842 Lease Standard knowledge required.
- Real estate experience a plus but not required.
- Workday Financials knowledge a plus but not required.
