JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Certified Pharmacy Technician works under the lead supervision of a Pharmacist to provide services to Pharmacy customers.
  • The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing Pharmaceutical Care.
  • Receives written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
  • Collect/enter appropriate method of payment from patrons for prescriptions, OTCs andnon-pharmaceutical products purchased
  • Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
  • Answers telephones, responding to questions or requests.

Job Requirements:

  • Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 yearscollege); requires knowledge of a specialized field
  • MINIMUM 2 YRS PHARMACY TECH EXPERIENCE
  • Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technicians required. MUST BE REGISTERED AND CERTIFIED WITH THE MARYLAND STATE BOARD OF PHARMACY
  • National PTCB certification preferred or equivalent state program
