SES is seeking technically minded individuals possessing experience with low voltage electronics specializing in electronic security solutions. Our teams are responsible for providing service on SES products at customer sites. The position provides customer contact for all post-installation problems on security systems and equipment, as well as, special project work, when needed.

The IT Collaboration Tools Lead will be responsible for managing installed collaboration tools and corporate office audio-visual technologies to maintain availability and reliability of installed equipment. The IT Collaboration Tools Lead will also play a key role in evaluating new technologies that can solve business challenges or increase productivity of the Securitas Technology Organization. Additional responsibilities include Project Management of initiatives to upgrade or replace systems, maintaining accurate inventories of installed systems, and managing the upgrade and replacement cycle of assigned assets.

Job scope:

  • Ensure collaboration technology services meet committed availability requirements
  • Be proactive to maintain and improve the availability and stability of installed collaboration technology services.
  • Ensure collaboration technology related issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for monitoring collaboration technology service availability, comparing reality with goals, and addressing gaps as identified.
  • Coordinate with other IT departments to ensure collaboration technology services meet IT security standards and policies.
  • Perform periodic inspections of installed collaboration technology to identify system degradation or maintenance needs.
  • Manage providers and monitor service quality of providers and take responsibility for the services provided.
  • Maintain, upgrade and fine-tune equipment to maintain peak performance.
  • Build a daily operating task list (checklist) and daily report the operational performance of installed collaboration technology.
  • Maintain a list of assets including equipment type, IP address, date of commissioning, warranty expiration date, and maintenance contract renewal dates as applicable.
  • Manage and maintain records of systems, devices, applications installed across the offices and branches in the company.
  • Maintain general reporting on collaboration technology performance usage and its trends.
  • Ensure performance testing is carried out for newly launched services.
  • Actively improve the efficiency in the use of collaboration technology.
  • Responsible for standardizing collaboration technology implementations across the organization.
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining and updating the Asset Database as installed equipment changes occur.
  • Responsible for lifecycle management of all collaboration technology assets.
  • Lead end-to-end project management for Audio Visual / Collaboration projects
  • Assist with new installations and support remotely and at other SES facilities in North America

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, related field or related work experience.

Knowledge/Expertise required

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft collaboration products including Teams and SharePoint, and various vendor systems and applications including Logitech, Polycom, and Owl Labs.
  • Advanced knowledge of various audio-visual technologies used in business settings including video projection, audio speakers and microphones, and telephony systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant IT technologies including Networking, Information Security, Operating Systems and Databases.

Skills required

  • Demonstrated ability working with collaboration and audio-visual systems.
  • Experience managing IT or Technology Projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, written communication in the form of business and technical report writing.
  • Ability to climb ladders or work in tight spaces as needed.

Relevant Experiences

  • Experience in all aspects of the administration of collaboration technology systems and services.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of projectors, monitors, video feeds and computing systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and fixing issues/errors on collaboration systems.
  • Experience evaluating new and emerging systems and technologies and conducting product evaluations and pilot implementations of prospective new technology solutions.
