This May, the NRG Center will be filled with the people who keep businesses growing. Over 1400 Human Resources professionals will be attending the largest conference of HR professionals in the Gulf Coast. The Gulf Coast Symposium on HR Issues invites attendees from all over the United States (but 94% of them are from Texas) to gather and improve their company’s bottom hiring line with networking, education and new technology that will take them into 2020.

JobSparx will be in attendance at the Gulf Coast Symposium as an exhibitor, showing how our unique niche of ‘Houston only’ jobs has worked for local employers for over 20 years.

“I am excited to finally put faces to the people I speak to on the phone and through emails,” says Rhianna Boes, Advertising Specialist at JobSparx. “Many times, I don’t get to interact with HR Professionals outside of correspondence, and it’s wonderful to have an opportunity to get to say hello in person outside of a sales call or meeting.” Her goal at the Gulf Coast Symposium this year is to help people “see the value of JobSparx as a recruiting tool for Houston businesses.”

Charla Conchola, another JobSparx team member, echoes Rhianna's thoughts. "As we get ready the big HR Houston in May and I am excited to be able to meet so many of the people I only speak to on the phone... As recruiting means have changed over the years so has JobSparx. There are so many new faces coming into HR roles and this event gives me a chance to meet them as well."

She adds, "This is an amazing event to get the word out about JobSparx and what all we can do for HR professionals.  So many people only see us as print, and this opportunity allows us to show them our new state of the art job board for Houston."

The symposium offers educational resources, including the chance to earn 17 credit hours towards SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification and/or 17 Recertification Credits towards PHR, SPHR or GPHR certification. Other opportunities come in the form of speakers, workshops, and meetings. There will be in excess of 175 sessions available to attendees that cover a variety of topics specific to the HR industry.

Keynote speakers, Vinh Giang and Galen Emanuele are set to inspire and motivate through magic, communication and better understanding of how HR professionals can reach goals in creative ways.
