Each territory has one Solutions Architect (SA) who is paired with one Account Manager (AM). My team consists of 4 L6 SAs and 2 L5 SAs. EdTechs are ISVs - commercial companies, usually PE backed, that provide SAAS products (mostly) for Education Institutions. As such, they are competitive, profit oriented, fast paced and keen to innovate, but also to control costs. A large part of our work is guiding them through prem-to-cloud migrations or compete takeaways from Azure and GCP or modernization projects. There's a lot of GenAI. The rhythm of the industry is seasonal, aligned with the school year, which means the biggest changes to their applications and workloads often happen during the Summer months.
