The role of the engineer is the development, validation and technical support of industrial electronic products from concept to full production, as well as continuation engineering on existing product lines. This role will include liaison with manufacturers, clients and internal production and engineering teams. Provide direct feedback on the quality, detail and accuracy of reviewed documentationGenerate and maintain detailed technical documents as required during the course of product development.With the R&D Manager agree a plan for the work allocated and be responsible for the execution, accuracy and content of the defined work.Undertake new product introduction (NPI) activities associated with initiating the manufacture of a developed product. This will include liaising with the manufacturer and taking responsibility for all non-commercial issues Be responsible for the specification and realization of product manufacturing validation regimes.Provide support for existing electronic products, as required by both the company and its customers. Duties will include training, technical consulting and application of technical knowledge.Mentor junior engineers in the development of their technical and engineering skillsEmbrace the company's intern program, using this to identify, engage and secure high caliber interns with a view to them becoming future company employeesCollaboration within the department and cross functional teams to deliver the electronic products as required.Ensure that company procedures and standards are adhered to.To maintain and enhance one's knowledge of the latest technology to sustain and improve the company's products. This will include undertaking research to identify new product possibilities and documenting these as future product conceptsTo carry out any other reasonable duties, as assigned, which are within the capabilities of the job holderQualificationsBS Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred)Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial electronic product development roleProject management and organizational skills. Ability to document from reader's perspective is essentialComplex analytical and problem solving ability. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. Aircraft refulers are required to position the fueling equipment next to the aircraft and service it with fuel following all Airline and Company policy and safety regulations at all times. The Company operates twenty four (24) hours a day seven (7) days a week including all holidays. The work is performed in all types of weather; which means you will be required to work in the rain, sleet, snow and heat of summer, as stated before the work requires climbing, bending, lifting hoses weighing up to 65lbs to hook up to the aircraft, pushing or pulling hoses or tow carts into position to refuel an aircraft.
