Transport ATX LLC is seeking reliable, safety-focused drivers to transport passenger groups around Austin, Texas, in a 15-passenger van through the Uber Max, XL, and XXL programs. This role suits an experienced driver who enjoys working independently and takes pride in providing courteous, professional passenger service. The position is an independent contractor engagement, not a traditional employee position.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport passenger groups to their destinations throughout the Austin area.
- Accept and complete eligible trips through the Uber Driver app.
- Provide courteous, professional service and communicate clearly with passengers and the operations team.
- Follow traffic laws, safety procedures, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Keep the vehicle clean between scheduled professional cleanings.
- Promptly report any maintenance concerns or incidents.
- Maintain the required Uber performance standards and follow all program guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 25.
- Valid driver's license, and compliance with applicable local permit and insurance requirements.
- An Austin Chauffeur Permit, which is required before driving is permitted.
- At least 1 year of driving experience.
- Previous rideshare or passenger transportation driving experience.
- Demonstrated safe driving habits, reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
- Comfort driving a 15-passenger van and transporting groups.
- Willingness to maintain the performance standards required for the Uber Max program.
Schedule and Earning Opportunities
Drivers choose when to drive. Uber Max priority hours in Austin (Central Time) are peak-demand periods that offer opportunities to maximize earnings:
- Thursday and Friday: 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Driving during these hours is not a mandatory schedule; however, the program's uptime performance standard is measured against these priority hours. Eligible Uber Max, XL, and XXL trips may also be available outside of these times on any day of the week. This is an in-person role based in Austin.
