Restaurant Shift Manager

The Restaurant Shift Manager oversees daily fast-casual restaurant operations for shifts staffed by 1–5 employees, ensuring excellent customer service, accurate cash handling, food safety, and efficient order coordination. This role reports to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, District Manager, Owner, or Operator, and offers a growth path toward Assistant General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift operations and coordinate team activities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service.
• Manage cash handling and point-of-sale transactions.
• Monitor inventory and support inventory control processes.
• Maintain food safety standards throughout the shift.
• Coordinate orders to support timely and accurate service.
• Coach team members and support performance improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in restaurant operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, cash management, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and point-of-sale systems.
• Conflict resolution and team leadership skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
