Position Description: Construction Project Manager – Landscape Design/Build (Residential)
Full-Time | Residential Landscape Design-Build | Houston AreaWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager with a background in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Construction Management to oversee residential landscape design-build projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for coordinating all moving parts of the installation, ensuring exceptional quality, timely execution, and accurate billing to meet revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Coordination
•\tServe as the primary manager for assigned residential landscape projects.
•\tInterpret the landscape design plans and proactively organize labor, materials, subs, and scheduling across all phases.
•\tCoordinate and direct field operations involving:
o\tLandscaping & planting
o\tIrrigation
o\tDrainage
o\tOutdoor lighting
o\tHardscape
o\tArtificial turf
o\tAny additional trades or specialty scopes
•\tMaintain foresight to identify constraints, avoid delays, and keep installations on schedule.
•\tEnsure quality control throughout the project, resolving issues quickly.
Communication & Client/Trade Interaction
•\tAct as the central point of communication for:
o\tClients
o\tLandscape architects / designers
o\tBuilders
o\tSubcontractors
o\tOther trades and vendors
•\tProvide timely updates, manage expectations, and maintain a professional, solution-oriented presence.
•\tBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
Financial Oversight (Billing, POs, Job Costing)
•\tEnsure project billing is accurate, timely, and aligned with revenue goals.
•\tReview and approve POs, change orders, and vendor invoices.
•\tTrack job costs and make sure the project stays within budget.
•\tWork closely with accounting to streamline information flow and minimize time spent on administrative entry.
Important: The Project Manager manages the projectthey are not expected to physically perform the installation work. Their responsibility is to ensure the work gets done correctly, by the right people, at the right time.

Qualifications
•\tDegree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
•\tMinimum 3–5 years of experience managing landscape construction or similar design-build projects.
•\tStrong understanding of residential landscape installation methods and materials.
•\tExcellent communication and organization skills.
•\tAbility to read plans, foresee scheduling conflicts, and navigate complex project scopes.
•\tProficiency with project management tools or willingness to learn internal systems.
