Overview
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer position for our client.
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 9 months
Duties:
Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications using Java/JEE and web technologies.
Develop applications using Java frameworks and languages such as Ruby and Groovy.
Implement enterprise application components, transaction management, Java objects, and enterprise system integrations.
Apply dependency injection, inversion of control, aspect-oriented programming, functional programming, and data access principles.
Develop batch processing solutions and automated tests using test-driven development practices.
Support DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and application maintenance.
Skills & Experience:
Professional experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using Java/JEE and web technologies.
Experience with Java frameworks, enterprise architectures, data access, transaction management, and system integration.
Knowledge of Ruby and/or Groovy, dependency injection, inversion of control, aspect-oriented programming, and functional programming.
Experience with test-driven development, automated testing, batch processing, and DevOps/CI/CD practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
