Position Overview
We are seeking a
Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience in
civil/site development design to join our team in
Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience with
grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and site design and be proficient with
Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship, now or in the future. Responsibilities
- Design civil/site development projects from concept through construction documents.
- Prepare grading, drainage, paving, utility, and erosion control plans.
- Perform stormwater and drainage calculations.
- Develop plans and construction documents using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate civil designs with surveyors, architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Assist with permitting and responding to plan review comments.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and local regulations.
- Participate in project coordination and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of civil engineering/design experience in an A&E environment.
- Experience with site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater design.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of applicable civil design standards and regulations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- EIT preferred, but not required.
