Job Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide hands-on technical support for a fully on-site operations environment in Houston, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can step into a fast-paced setting, resolve day-to-day user issues efficiently, and collaborate closely with both IT and operations teams. The role focuses on maintaining desktop performance, supporting end users, and ensuring timely response to service requests in a compact, high-activity center.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver on-site desktop and help desk support for employees, addressing hardware, software, and access-related issues across the operation.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10 and Microsoft environment problems, restoring user productivity through practical and timely solutions.
• Manage incoming service desk tickets, prioritize requests appropriately, and provide clear updates through resolution.
• Support user account administration tasks in Active Directory, including access changes, password resets, and basic permissions support.
• Work closely with both IT leadership and operational stakeholders to align technical support with daily business needs.
• Set up, maintain, and replace end-user equipment as needed to keep workstations functioning reliably in an on-site setting.
• Assist with technical readiness for operational changes or environment updates when required as part of ongoing support activities.
• Document recurring issues, resolutions, and support activities to improve service consistency and knowledge sharing.• Experience providing desktop support or help desk assistance in an on-site work environment.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for routine account and access support tasks.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Windows 10 troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues involving user devices, software, and connectivity.
• Experience handling and updating service desk tickets in an organized and timely manner.
• Comfortable working directly with end users and communicating technical information in a clear, effective way.
• Able to operate independently while coordinating effectively with both IT and business teams.
