Job Description
We are seeking Logistics Associates to support manufacturing operations in a fast paced warehouse and production environment.
This role is responsible for warehouse material flow, inventory integrity, kitting, lineside delivery to general assembly, and material preparation and movement. The ideal candidate is safety focused, organized, comfortable operating warehouse equipment, and able to work effectively across warehouse and production teams to keep materials moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Support warehouse material flow from receiving docks through production and shipping areas using appropriate material handling methods, including forklifts and manual transport
- Use warehouse systems and technology to input and retrieve inventory and parts data and process material movements
- Assess material needs for assigned production areas throughout the shift
- Pull and deliver materials to support production schedules
- Support kitting, lineside delivery, and milk run preparation and execution
- Identify and resolve physical and system based inventory discrepancies using warehouse tools and systems
- Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity
- Follow all warehouse safety standards and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
- Uncrate critical components for general assembly operations
- Support storage and movement of indirect materials
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and other operational teams to ensure parts are delivered where and when needed
- Demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency in resolving operational issues
- Support continuous improvement of warehouse and logistics processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work to complete responsibilities on time
- Ability to operate heavy warehouse equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to perform effectively in high pressure situations
- Ability to work successfully in a fast paced manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively across warehouse and production teams
- Valid driver's license for the state in which the position is based with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully complete a background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, and drug screen
- Must comply with the applicable Substance Abuse Policy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or automotive environment
- Experience with SAP or similar inventory management systems
- Experience with material handling, inventory control, kitting, or production support
Safety Requirements
Safety shoes are required beginning on the first day of work. Composite toe safety shoes must meet ASTM F2412 and ASTM F2413 requirements for protective footwear.
