Position Summary
We are seekingan experiencedQuality Assurance/QualityControl professionalto support incoming, in-process, andfinal inspections ina manufacturing environment. The ideal candidatewill have atleasttwo years ofquality assurance experience, strong attention todetail, and theability to interprettechnical drawings anduse precision measuringequipment.
The positionwill work closelywith production, purchasing, suppliers, and customersto identify, document, and resolve qualityissues while ensuringcompliance with companyquality and environmentalstandards.
Qualifications
- University degree required;B.S. inSystems Engineering preferredor equivalent experience.
- Minimum2 years ofQuality Assurance experience.
- Fluent in English, both written andverbal.
- Strong decision-making, analytical, and judgment skills.
- Demonstrated initiativeand sense ofresponsibility.
- Ability to interpretengineering drawings andspecifications.
- Experience using measuringdevices and inspectionequipment.
- Knowledge ofproducts and packagingmaterials.
- Forklift handling experiencepreferred/required asapplicable.
- Strong attention todetail and commitmentto quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspectionsofraw materials andfinished goods andmaintain accurate inspectionrecords.
- Approve new itemsand new productintroductions and performFirst Article Inspections(FAI).
- Create discrepancy reportsfor manufactured andtraded products inMasterControl.
- Communicate rejection reportsto Purchasing whendiscrepancies are identifiedwith traded products.
- Identify and properlymanage nonconforming products.
- Monitor and followup on materialsplacedin the“on hold”location, both physicallyand within AX.
- Coordinate disposition ofheldmaterials, including creditnotes, rework, reuse, or scrap.
- Work closely withProduction to identify, investigate, and resolvequality issues.
- Verify that requiredinspectionshave been properlycompleted by productionpersonnel.
- Train employees onacceptance/rejection criteria, first-piece approvals, in-process andfinal inspections, andproper use ofmeasurement instruments.
- Communicate quality alertsand provide trainingrelated to qualityrequirements and nonconformingmaterials.
- Maintain organization andproper control ofthe “on hold” area.
- Support customer complaintinvestigations and correctiveactions.
- Coordinate productsegregation when requiredand issue qualityalerts and training.
- SupportSCAR (Supplier CorrectiveAction Request)activities.
- Follow and maintaincompliance withISO 9001andISO 14001policies and procedures.
- Perform other quality-related duties asassigned.
