Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Operates indoor forklifts and material handling equipment to move raw materials, WIP, and finished goods within the manufacturing facility safely and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate sit-down counterbalanced forklifts inside the manufacturing facility
- Transport raw materials from receiving to production areas
- Move work-in-process between production departments per router instructions
- Place and retrieve materials from rack storage using forklift
- Inspect forklift before each shift and report maintenance needs
- Maintain organized material flow and staging areas
- Follow all pedestrian safety and aisle clearance rules
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid forklift operator certification
- 1+ years indoor forklift operation experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Sit-down and reach truck experience
- Inventory system/ERP experience for material transactions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Forklift operation in industrial setting, lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to manufacturing environment. PPE required.
