Warehouse, Order Picking Assistant & Inventory Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable and motivated Warehouse & Order Picking Assistant & Inventory Manager to join our growing operations team. In this hands-on role, you will pick and pack orders (manually and using a forklift on pallets), organize the warehouse floor, and ensure our digital inventory systems accurately match our physical stock. You will work closely with the warehouse team to optimize order processing, maintain storage layouts, and ensure data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick and pack 5 to 10 orders per day (manually and/or using a forklift) to pack, strap and label them to get them ready them for shipment.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store incoming shipments in designated locations.
- Quality & Safety Control: Report damaged items, missing tags, or inventory mismatches to the warehouse manager promptly.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Perform ongoing physical counts, cycle counts, and stock-taking initiatives while keeping workstations and storage areas clean and organized.
- Safety Requirement: Because we handle large, heavy industrial-type items, steel-toe boots are strictly required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous warehouse experience, logistics certifications, or relevant coursework are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Computer literate with basic-to-intermediate proficiency in spreadsheets, plus a willingness to learn our warehouse management system (WMS).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Fork Lift Skills: Valid forklift certification with proven operating experience and a clean safety record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and manually lift up to 40 lbs (and up to 500 lbs using a forklift) for warehouse organization tasks.
