Full-Time Student Housing Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dependable, experienced, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our student housing management team in Fort Worth, TX.

This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our student housing communities near Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan University.

The ideal candidate is honest, friendly, flexible, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with residents and management, and can effectively prioritize maintenance requests.

Position Details

• Full-time position
• Location: Fort Worth, TX
• Pay: Depending on experience
• Bi-weekly on-call rotation for emergency maintenance

Qualifications

• Previous apartment, multifamily, or student housing maintenance experience preferred
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, water heaters, appliances, and apartment maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete maintenance work orders efficiently
• Professional and positive attitude
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple work orders and prioritize urgent requests
• Strong commitment to resident service
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Responsibilities

• Complete resident maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, water heaters, appliances, and other building systems
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property
• Inspect buildings, common areas, and grounds and report or correct maintenance issues
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparation
• Coordinate with and oversee outside make-ready contractors during high-volume move-out and move-in periods
• Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and report supply needs to management
• Assist management with property inspections
• Coordinate with general contractors and vendors during renovation and construction projects
• Participate in final walkthroughs and assist with tracking and completing punch-list items
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests while on call
• Perform other property maintenance duties as needed
