An established, family-owned, faith-based early childhood organization in San Antonio is searching for an exceptional Child Care Center Director. We need a hands-on leader who can strengthen operations, build a dependable team, create accountability, and help a center thrive.

This is not a position for someone who simply keeps the office running. We are looking for a leader who:

  • Leads from the front and follows through

  • Coaches employees and holds them accountable

  • Creates efficient staffing schedules

  • Maintains Texas licensing and quality standards

  • Builds strong relationships with children, families, and employees

  • Conducts excellent tours and follows up with prospective families

  • Understands that enrollment and family retention are essential

  • Keeps the center clean, organized, safe, and tour-ready

  • Identifies problems quickly and brings solutions

  • Treats the center’s success as their personal responsibility

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Managing all daily center operations

  • Recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating employees

  • Maintaining proper ratios and controlling scheduled labor hours

  • Ensuring compliance with Texas Child Care Regulation and Texas Rising Star

  • Making sure teachers consistently implement the approved curriculum

  • Communicating proactively and professionally with parents

  • Conducting tours and helping convert prospective families into enrollments

  • Monitoring tuition accounts, CCS processes, CACFP requirements, and center records

  • Maintaining a positive, professional, and accountable workplace culture

  • Communicating regularly with and remaining accountable to the owners

What You’ll Need

  • Must meet Texas qualifications to serve as a child care center director

  • At least three years of experience in a licensed child care program

  • At least two years of successful leadership experience as a director or assistant director

  • Strong knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards

  • Ability to pass all required background checks

  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience managing employees, schedules, parent relationships, and center operations

  • Confidence conducting tours and supporting enrollment growth

  • Professionalism, reliability, initiative, and a genuine love for children

Texas Rising Star, Procare, CCS, CACFP, and bilingual English/Spanish experience are preferred.
