This position performs various accounting functions for Atrium Centers and its related entities. Primary responsibilities include financial statement preparation, maintenance of fixed assets records, completion of balance sheet reconciliations, and assistance with various other accounting functions. Assigned duties must be completed within established timeframes.


*This role is on-site Monday- Friday at our corporate office in Columbus, Ohio. Non- local candidates will not be considered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements for Atrium Centers and related entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company timeframes.

  • Reconcile accounts and maintain supporting documentation to ensure financial statement integrity.

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, with particular focus on cash and accounts receivable.

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries for the general ledger.

  • Maintain company fixed asset records, including depreciation and amortization schedules.

  • Complete periodic HUD Replacement Reserve requests and maintain all required supporting records.

  • Assist with annual CPA, Medicare, Medicaid, and HUD audits and reviews as needed.

  • Support yearly budget preparation and periodic budget revisions.

  • Assist with preparation of annual Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports.

Take a lead or significant role in completing various accounting projects as assigned.

  • Perform additional accounting duties as assigned, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within established deadlines.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; preferred. CPA or CPA candidate a plus.

  • A minimum of three years of overall accounting experience with an emphasis on financial statement preparation experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and an ability to apply those principles

  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to projects a plus.

  • Experience managing deadlines and being able to take complete ownership of assigned tasks.

  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Sage Intacct a plus


ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and the ability to accurately apply them in financial reporting and reconciliations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.

  • Ability to manage deadlines effectively, take ownership of tasks, and ensure timely completion of accounting responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical skills to compile, review, and interpret financial data for reporting, audits, and budgeting purposes.
