Job Title: WelderJob Description

Join our team as a Welder in North Jackson, OH, where you will play a vital role in performing various welding processes on steel mill equipment and components. This is a night shift position from 10pm to 7am with opportunities for overtime as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and other welding processes on steel mill equipment and components.
  • Repair and fabricate machine parts, structural steel, guards, and production equipment.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to complete repairs and projects.
  • Use fabrication tools such as grinders, cutting torches, and plasma cutters.
  • Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Assist maintenance and production teams with equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Operate or work around overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
  • Work in a heavy industrial steel mill environment and support plant operations as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • MUST BE ITAR COMPLIANT.
  • MUST HAVE HS DIPLOMA.
  • Ability to perform industrial welding and fabrication work.
  • Ability to read measuring tools, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime when required.
  • Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior steel mill experience.
  • Industrial furnace experience.
  • Machining experience.
  • Crane operation experience.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with material handling, machine operation, CNC equipment, or precision measuring tools.

Work Environment

Work in a heavy industrial steel mill environment, wearing the necessary PPE for safety. The night shift runs from 10pm to 7am, with opportunities for overtime. You will use a variety of welding and fabrication tools and may need to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $40000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
